On more than one occasion, the Right and the Left, allow ideology to infect the discussion on an important matter.  This prevents the voices of sensible people from being heard.  And consequently, there is a lot of finger pointing and name calling without any workable solution emerging.  This in turn provides for The Rise of Demagogues, or the emergence of those whose voice is the loudest to prey upon the emotions of the masses. That is a naked power play and that is all it is.  This grabs headlines, but it does not change the outcome of what was originally the subject.  Instead, it becomes a case of “Us vs. Them”, and let’s face it, we all want our side to win, right?  We all want our team to come out on top, no matter it be in the sports arena, or the political arena.

Let us first define what is our side?  Is it not the truth?  Then let us start with what is the truth regarding the subject matter at hand: Earth Changes.

Global Warming

When the issue of Earth Changes first emerged, it was limited to ‘global warming’.  That was the term popularized by the Left and the media.  The argument was that the Earth was warming and that it was the result of man’s excesses.  We heard about the ozone layer diminishing and the threat that would pose to our planet.  Hollywood churned out movies warning about it, Al Gore pounced upon it, and the hucksters at the UN saw an opportunity to call for a global tax to fight it.  What was ironic was that all of these things were undertaken by people who drove around in limousines and flew around in private jets, all which created a greater threat to the environment than you or I did, at least if you follow their line of thinking.   The hypocrisy is not lost on us average folks.

Today, the language has changed from “global warming” to “climate change”, a clever case of verbal legerdemain. The reason for this is simple: the global warming that they warned us about simply did not happen.  In 18 years the average temperatures of the planet has been constant.  In fact, one former supporter of Obama, who is a principle proponent of ‘global warming/climate change’, (Obama, that is)  is Dr. Ivar Giaever who won the Nobel Prize in physics in 1973.  Dr. Giaever contradicts much of what Obama claims about global warming.  This is what he says: “I would say that basically global warming is not a problem.”  Dr. Giaever went on to characterize Obama’s claim that “no challenge poses a greater challenge to future generations than climate change,” as “a ridiculous statement.”

Dr. Giaever then added that, “Obama said last year that 2014 is {the} hottest year ever.  But it’s not true.  It’s not the hottest.”   He then made the adroit observation that “Global warming really has become a new religion.  Because you cannot discuss it.  It’s not proper…”

Of note is that Dr. Giaever was one of more than 100 co-signers in a letter to the president in March 2009 that was critical of his stance on  global   warming   saying:  “We

the undersigned scientists, maintain that the case for alarm regarding climate change is grossly overstated.”

When asked as to what he would say to Obama regarding Obama’s position on global warming, Dr. Giaever said: “I say this to Obama: Excuse me, Mr. President, but you’re wrong. Dead wrong.”

The trouble with any theory is that it is just that, a theory.  Those who believe that man is responsible for causing global warming are basically accepting an unproven theory.  And as mentioned earlier, there are those in the scientific community who openly question it even though their opposition is being censored by the controlled media.  Heaven forbid that the media should ever contradict Barrack Obama.

This is not to say that something is not going on here.  Some who challenge the global warming theory do make that argument.  I do not know about that.  Something does seem to be happening, and scientists do not seem to be in agreement as to exactly what it is.

For instance, on November 9, 2015, a prominent oceanographer, Roger Francois, concluded that the Arctic ice cap is melting faster than ever before which could disrupt how the ocean regulates global temperatures.

On the opposite pole of our planet, the Antarctic is gaining in ice, thus “ challenging existing theories on climate change and rises in sea levels.” This according to a study by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, the University of Maryland and Sigma Space Corporation.

The very fact that these studies are being conducted, tells you that science really hasn’t determined exactly what is going on here.  And when the government, any government, begins to formulate policies and threaten regulations over unproven theories, alarm bells should go off.

Milankovitch Cycles

When I first began to research this article I had no idea who the hell Milutin Milankovich was.  Since then, I have discovered what a genius this guy was.  A Caucasian of Serbian extraction, Milankovich was one of the first to show just how climatic changes on earth are affected by its rotation and tilt.  It gets complicated, but he accurately showed the connection between long term climate changes and the three factors of precession, tilt and eccentricity.  I don’t have the scientific mind to explain all of this other than to say that these three contributed to such severe climate changes that saw variations from an ice free surface to one where 30% of the earth was covered in ice.

Whether or not this is happening is tough to say because these changes do not happen overnight.  But they do happen, and they happened before the ascent of man and his machines.

On a side note, researching Milankovitch was a bit of a confirmation to me as to the sad state of affairs our educational system really is in.  When you read about the studies and the disciplines that he immersed himself in you begin to understand just how our society has been dumbed down.

“Signs, Signs,

Everywhere There’s Signs”

And so begins the chorus to the song “Signs” by the Five Man Electrical Band, one of my favorite tunes when I get into my inner hippie.  But I digress, getting back to the original topic: earth changes. We seem to be witnessing the beginning of something dramatic.  The misanthropes want to blame ‘man’, we prefer to see it as cyclical.  We don’t see it just in one dimension: global warming either, if that is even proven.  We have birds dropping out of the sky, fish washing up on shores, from the east coast to the west coast.  Our sun is acting up like a spoiled child in the supermarket.  In June it blew out a giant flare that created a hole that was 50 times the size of the earth.  It had happened before, the difference being we weren’t hooked into the grid back then like we are now.  Earthquake and volcanic activity seems to be on the rise.  According to Geologic and Earthchange News in April of this year, there was a 38.9% increase of M6+ earthquakes between 2000-2009.  And then there is the possibility of a magnetic polar shift.  Indeed, according to Simon Ludgate  Sci/Environment, Technology (April 26, 2015) volcanoes, and earthquakes may be linked to such a shift.  And according to an article in the BBC (British Broadcasting Co.), on November 10, 2014, the magnetic field is becoming less stable. The pole is in fact moving, toward Siberia. We are living in exciting times.  Strange days indeed! v
